Dear Governor Jindal: June 23, 2014
Thank You Governor Jindal for your courageous action to begin the process of removing the schools of Louisiana out of Common Core & PARCC for the sake of our children, parents, grandparents, citizens and teachers of Louisiana!
Thank you for taking the time more than 10 months ago to have your staff earnestly listen to the concerns of Moms, Dads, Grandparents and Teachers for a full day in groups of 6 every hour or so about Common Core, PARCC testing & the unconstitutional data collecting. Then continue to follow up with several other meetings; investigate what was being communicated and shared; and interact with real concerned grass roots citizens versus paid lobbyists. Thank you for doing what the vast majority of our elected Louisiana Representatives and State Senators, save a few, were unwilling to do!!!
You gave BESE, LDOE and the legislature every chance to do right by the children and parents during this session but they scolded, shunned and would not even listen to the parents and grandparents who showed up at the legislature and at the Education Committee meetings to no avail there. In fact, it was shameful the way these elected officials treated these Moms, Dads and grandparents!!! Thank you for doing what these so called elected representatives would not do, and Thank You for vetoing HB 953 which they had the audacity to past in showing their "power" over the cries and pleas of the parents and grandparents!!!
Thank you for standing up against this lawless Obama Administration and our very own complicit BESE, LDOE and the Louisiana House & Senate Education Committee Chairs, and for taking the fight to them. Thank you for doing what is right despite what the statist Democrat propaganda press & media will say and try to bend the real facts which you and your staff took the time to learn during this past 10 months.
Thank you, and know we are with you, and will fight this fight with you every step of the way!!! It's high time that this Marxist Obama Administration learn that there is a 10th Amendment in the Constitution!! Thank you again for doing what is right by our citizens in bold contrast to the actions of the 2014 LA Legislature and the disgraceful leadership of the House and Senate Education Committees!!!
