Dear BESE: July 7, 2014
The very foundation of every successful society is the education of its youth. But, instead of focusing on doing only that, and doing it well, BESE has made it clear that its “priority one” is to implement the Federally directed Common Core and PARCC.
The Tea Party of Louisiana vehemently disagrees with you for taking that position & urges you to comply with the directives of Governor Jindal and remove Louisiana from all Common Core Initiatives & PARCC testing. This is far too important to be politically correct so we will speak plainly and clearly why each BESE member as a patriotic American should want to comply with the parents and the Governor to help lead Louisiana out of the Common Core Standards & PARCC tests.
We have been dealing with the slow creep of using our public school systems as instruments to implement social policy rather than simply institutions that educate children for the last 6 to 7 decades. During this time, there had been a real resistance by American Parents to believe that schools were changing from centers of education to federal indoctrination camps, but with the implementation of Common Core over these past few years by the lawless Obama administration and our very own complicit BESE, LDOE and the 2014 La Legislature parents are waking-up in increasing numbers everywhere in Louisiana and all across this Nation!

Dear Governor Jindal: June 23, 2014
Thank You Governor Jindal for your courageous action to begin the process of removing the schools of Louisiana out of Common Core & PARCC for the sake of our children, parents, grandparents, citizens and teachers of Louisiana!
Thank you for taking the time more than 10 months ago to have your staff earnestly listen to the concerns of Moms, Dads, Grandparents and Teachers for a full day in groups of 6 every hour or so about Common Core, PARCC testing & the unconstitutional data collecting. Then continue to follow up with several other meetings; investigate what was being communicated and shared; and interact with real concerned grass roots citizens versus paid lobbyists. Thank you for doing what the vast majority of our elected Louisiana Representatives and State Senators, save a few, were unwilling to do!!!
You gave BESE, LDOE and the legislature every chance to do right by the children and parents during this session but they scolded, shunned and would not even listen to the parents and grandparents who showed up at the legislature and at the Education Committee meetings to no avail there. In fact, it was shameful the way these elected officials treated these Moms, Dads and grandparents!!! Thank you for doing what these so called elected representatives would not do, and Thank You for vetoing HB 953 which they had the audacity to past in showing their "power" over the cries and pleas of the parents and grandparents!!!
Thank you for standing up against this lawless Obama Administration and our very own complicit BESE, LDOE and the Louisiana House & Senate Education Committee Chairs, and for taking the fight to them. Thank you for doing what is right despite what the statist Democrat propaganda press & media will say and try to bend the real facts which you and your staff took the time to learn during this past 10 months.
Thank you, and know we are with you, and will fight this fight with you every step of the way!!! It's high time that this Marxist Obama Administration learn that there is a 10th Amendment in the Constitution!! Thank you again for doing what is right by our citizens in bold contrast to the actions of the 2014 LA Legislature and the disgraceful leadership of the House and Senate Education Committees!!!

The Tea Party of Louisiana thanks you for taking that position & the first action step in vetoing HB 953, but now calls on you to put real action to your words and remove Louisiana from all Common Core Initiatives & PARCC testing using every Executive power available to you. This is far too important to be politically correct so we will speak plainly and clearly why you and every conservative Governor should want to lead their state out of the Common Core Standards & PARCC tests.
